Lesson problems came from 1977AB Question and problems from pg 106 and 107.

Lesson today focused on how to find derivative with symbols and tables and no functions.

Trapped areas, revolved sections and sections growing out of the board.

Be sure to also study for your test on Friday.

Homework –Do pages 107 from the review packet link.

We then worked on explaining what could be done with a graph of the derivative….locate intervals of increasing decreasing, locate local max and min points, name intervals of concavity for the function, name function inflection points … and today I reminded y0u of using the “net” change theorem which allows us to calculate how much a function changed by identifying how much area was trapped under a derivative graph.

Today we reviewed net change theorem again for pages 103,105 and 106.

Do pages 102 and 103 and have the other pages so we work on more problems in class tomorrow.

Today we worked on a 10 minute “quiz” 1984 open ended.Homework was to do the open ended on pg 99 and 100.Pages from the review used were pg 98,99 and 100.What the maximum value of the function is. Worked on analyzing derivative functions to find the following – intervals where functions are increasing and decreasing and concave up or down.Please print out pages 96 -100 for tomorrow and bring them with you.
